Thankful Tree
We love making our Thankful Tree during Thanksgiving. Each child writes on the leaves or tells the teacher what they are thankful for.
Thanksgiving Sensory Bin
Make a Thanksgiving sensory bin by putting dry corn, leaves, and feathers in a container. Add fake food and dishes along with fine motor tools to add extra fine motor fun!
Thanksgiving Turkey Paper Plate Craft
Make this cute turkey by cutting a paper plate in half and gluing feathers on it. Cut out shapes for the face and google eyes or eye stickers for an adorable and easy turkey craft!
Turkey Colander Fine Motor Counting Activity
This is such a fun math game that also helps with fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination! Take turns either rolling a dice or picking a number card and putting that many feathers in the colander.
Pumpkin Pie Shaving Cream Letter Writing
Have fun practicing letter formation by “writing” in shaving cream on a pumpkin pie! I used shaving cream but you can also use whipped cream. My students LOVED this activity! Find the printables HERE.
Turkey Chompy Ball
This is a fun Thanksgiving variation of the fine motor tennis ball chomper! “Feed” the turkey craft poms, candy, dry corn or acrylic corn scatters by squeezing the ball to open its mouth. You can cut a slit in the ball (carefully!) or buy these precut tennis balls from Amazon. I used foam for the nose and waddle and hot glued google eyes and feathers on the ball. Children can freely feed the turkey or use number cards to count that number of pieces for extra math fun!
Thanksgiving Turkey Placemat
This is such a classic preschool Thanksgiving activity! Turn handprints into turkeys on a large piece of construction paper and then laminate for the kids to use as a placemat at Thanksgiving!
