Earth Day is coming up and here are some fun activities to do with your preschool students or children!
Earth Themed Sensory and Fine Motor Trays
Use blue and green craft poms, dyed chickpeas, or apple sauce pouch tops to create a sensory tray or bin. Add fine motor tools like tweezers, scoops, and spoons for fine motor play.
Earth Books for Preschoolers
One of my favorite books for Earth Day is The Earth Book by Todd Parr! Here are some other great books for young children:
Biscuit’s Earth Day Celebration
I Am Earth: An Earth Day Book for Kids
We are All Connected: Caring for Each Other and the Earth
Make an Earth “Stainglass” Window Craft
Put a black construction paper circle with the middle cut out on contact paper. Place blue and green tissue paper squares in the middle of the circle. Place another piece of contact paper on top and trip the edges. Display your Earth in the window for everyone to see!
Earth Fine Motor Mat Activities
Use playdough, craft poms, mini erasers, or other objects to put on the letters on these Earth Fine Motor Mats!
Earth Pattern Bracelets
Use green and blue playdough to form a ball and poke a hole through it with a skewer. Let it dry and then you have an Earth bead! Use it to make Earth pattern bracelets like the one seen here!
