W is for Watermelon!
*Watermelon fine motor mats: Use play dough, black beans, mini erasers, craft poms, or other small objects to put on the letters.
*Watermelon counting game: We love using black beans with this watermelon seed counting activity.

W is for Worm!
*Worm craft- Make a worm out of the letter W, we love making these and putting them in our animal letter book!
*Diary of a Worm book- This is such a cute book and is perfect to read while learning about the letter W!
*Beaded Worm Craft- Practice hand eye coordination and fine motor skills while making this cute beaded worm craft. Curve the top and hot glue a google eye on each side of the pipe cleaner. Then the worm is ready to be beaded! Your child or students can randomly put the beads on or make patterns for a fun math activity.
*Worm Sensory Activities- Have some sensory fun with worms in kinetic sand or a sensory bin, like this one with black beans!





W is for Waffles!
*Waffles and Whipped Cream!-We can’t talk about the letter W without making yummy waffles and love topping them off with whipped cream! I found this cute little waffle stick maker that is perfect for classroom cooking and allows the students to make a W with their sticks, so yummy and fun!
*Waffle Play Dough fun!- I found this fun waffle Play dough set at Dollar Tree and it’s perfect for pretend play and fine motor skills practice!


W is for Wand!
My students love making this fun decorated wands! Cut out stars and provide jewels and stickers for your child or students to decorate their own wands. Attach the stars to sticks (these are long lollipop sticks) and tie ribbon on them for a fun and fanciful craft!

Have fun putting wands into play dough! I got these cute wands from Dollar Tree, this is such a fun fine motor activity and it invites creativity as well.


W is for Watch!
Download this free letter W watch for your students to color and wear! I laminate them after they are colored so they last longer and tape them together on my students’ wrists. They always love to pretend to tell time and enjoy wearing them!
