K is for Kiwi!
*Kiwi tasting and graph: We love tasting kiwi and graphing who likes it and who does not.
*Kiwi Cloud Dough: I was excited to find this kiwi conditioner and we had fun mixing it with cornstarch to make cloud dough! Mix 1 part conditioner with two parts cornstarch, adjust based on consistency.
Kale and Kiwi Venn Diagram
Compare and contrast kiwi and kale with a Venn diagram! This group activity helps with critical thinking skills by helping young children think about similarities and differences between two items.
K is for Kindness!
How can we be kind? We love reading books and doing activities to help us understand how we can be kind to others and ourselves.
*Pass the Heart game: While in a circle, take turns passing a heart and naming ways in which you can be kind to others. Add clothespins for more fine motor practice and teamwork exercise.
*We Can Be Kind writing pages and class book: Each child in the class can write or draw a picture and have the teacher dictate how they can be kind. We also make copies to put in each child’s writing journal as well.
K is for Kite!
*Kite Dot Marker Activities- find this activity in this resource.
*Make kites on the light table with Magnatiles- use different triangles to form kites!
*Make a class kite- We love taking turns writing our names on the kite and then trying to fly it on a windy day. We display it in our classroom for the year as well.
K is for Kangaroo!
Kangaroo K craft- make a kangaroo out of the letter K, we make one for every letter and make an alphabet animal book.
K is for KitKat!
We love making a letter K out of KitKats and then eating them!
K is for Kabobs!
Have fun making fruit kabobs while also working on fine motor skills. Be sure to cut the end of the skewer so it isn’t as sharp.
K is for Kazoo!
Have fun learning how to play the kazoo while learning about the letter K.
K is for King!
Make a king craft out of the letter K! Use jewel stickers or glue jewels on.
