J is for Jellyfish!
- Jellyfish paper plate craft- Cut a paper plate in half and paint it. We used grey paint and added sprinkles. Glue strips of cellophane to the back of the plate to make the tentacles.
- Jellyfish lamp– We love our new class “pets”. This lamp is fun to watch and is great to use to help calm someone when they are upset. It’s so soothing and my students love to watch the jellyfish swim.
- Jellyfish J craft- make a jellyfish out of the letter J, we make one for every letter an make an alphabet animal book.
J is for Jellybeans!
Jumping Jellybeans in a Jar Experiment
- Fill the jar 1/4th of the way with warm water.
- Add 2 spoonfuls of baking soda.
- Add jellybeans.
- Slowly fill the jar the rest of the way with vinegar. (Pour a little at a time so it won’t overflow)
- Watch the jellybeans start jumping!
Jellybean Sorting and Graphing Worksheets
Give each student a small bag of jellybeans and have them put them on the graph. Count each color and compare the different numbers. Which one has the most? Which one has the least?
J is for Jewels!
- Jewel Sensory Bin: Put jewels in rice, beans, or other sensory bin fillers for a fun jewel activity! Add fine motor tools and containers for extra fine motor skills practice. My students love burying the jewels and digging them up again!
- Jewel Patterns: Make patterns with different colored and shaped jewels!
- Jewel sorting- We love using chip trays to sort jewels by color, shape, and size!
- J jewels- put jewel stickers on or glue jewels on the letter J!
- Light table jewels- Use transparent jewels on the light table! Make patterns and sort with clear chip trays. Write the letter J on a transparent sheet and have your students put the jewels on the J.
J is for Juice!
Make juice with a juicer or squeeze with a hand juicer, this is also a great fine motor activity!
J is for Jack-o-lantern!
