Head to the Dollar Tree and pick up some shaving cream for some fun cloud activities!
*Cloud Paint: Mix glue and shaving cream to make this fluffy “cloud paint”. Add some paint for more colorful paintings.

*Cloud Play and Writing- Have a fun sensory play experience with shaving cream clouds! Practice writing the letter C in the shaving cream or just have fun playing in the “cloud”. This is such a fun and messy (but clean!) sensory play activity!

Rain Cloud in a Jar Experiment
Materials Needed:
- A clear jar
- Water
- Shaving cream (representing the cloud)
- Food coloring (liquid form works best)
- A dropper or spoon
- Water (for the colored rain)
Steps:
- Fill the jar with water: Fill your jar about three-quarters of the way with water. This represents the atmosphere.
- Add shaving cream: Spray a layer of shaving cream on top of the water to represent the cloud. You want it to be thick, so pile it up high!
- Prepare colored rain: Fill a separate container with water and add a few drops of food coloring. Mix it well. This will represent the rainwater.
- Create the rain: Using a dropper or spoon, slowly drop the colored water on top of the shaving cream.
- Watch it rain: As you add more colored water, the shaving cream “cloud” will eventually become saturated and allow the colored water to start dripping down into the jar. This simulates rain falling from the cloud when it gets too full.
This experiment is a fun and hands-on way to learn about weather patterns, especially how rain is formed!

C is for Cupcake!
Cake and cupcakes are not only yummy, they are a fun way to make learning and fine motor skills practice more exciting! Use cupcake mini erasers and counters with fine motor mats and math activities. Cupcake containers and eggs from Dollar Tree are a fun addition to playdough and kinetic sand activities!

Cupcake Sensory Bin
Dye rice different colors and use silicone cupcake liners for a fun cupcake sensory bin activity! Add tools for extra fine motor skills practice.

C is for Colors!
Use colorful pom poms and ribbons to dance with while learning about colors! Color fine motor and playdough mats help children to learn color words.

The light table is so fun and adding some color makes it even more exciting! Use rainbow blocks and dots to have some colorful fun, add bowls to sort the different color dots.
